Ride for Sight in Trenton – A huge success!

Close to 1,000 motorcyclists participated in Canada’s largest motorcycle parade, which celebrated its 28th year! Over 4,00o motorcyclists and ride for sight fundraisers enjoyed the weekend of June 23rd to the 25th in Trenton, including us at Dalton Timmis!
There was camping, demo rides, show and shine competitions, shopping and fourteen live bands all with an amazing view of the Trent – Severn Waterway.
Donations are still being tallied but it is certain that the money raised from this event will climb beyond a half a million! This brings the national Ride for Sight 2006 total to $1 million!!!
The first ride began in 1979 in Central Ontario. To-date, Ride For Sight has raised more than $14 million in support of The Foundation Fighting Blindness, the only organization in Canada dedicated to funding research into the causes, treatments and cures for retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration. Dalton Timmis continues to show support to this cause as a major sponsor. With every new Road Wings policy we write, a percentage goes to the organization!
